This article by Pittsburgh Tribune Review Capitol report Brad Bumsted goes right to the heart of the matter. Pennsylvania has the second most expensive legislature in the country. We definitely need to amend the Pennsylvania constitution to shrink the beast.

No one is above the law.  That was the theme among those interviewed in this article on philly.com. Here is a quote from the mayor of Philadelphia.  “We are a nation…of laws. All of us are accountable…especially those of us in public service…today’s jury verdict is further evidence that no matter how much good you do in public life, no matter even what your good intentions may be, none of us, none of us, are above the law.”

Schenker Announces Bid for Lieutenant Governor PDF Print E-mail

ERIE – Rick Schenker (R-Erie), the former Erie County executive and a previous statewide director for the Pennsylvania Christian Coalition, today officially announced that he is running for the Republican nomination as lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania in 2010. Schenker, who today officially filed the necessary paperwork at the Erie County Courthouse, said his campaign will focus on challenging corruption in the halls of the state Capitol in Harrisburg.

Fumo admits state paid to send him hair spray PDF Print E-mail

PHILADELPHIA — An Associated Press story said that former State Senator Vince Fumo was vacationing at his waterfront home in Florida when he realized he needed hair spray. He had his staff back home run out to buy the hair spray, then ship it to him along with two faxes.
